本作主人公是三只拟人化的熊，分别是热血灰熊Grizzly（埃里克·埃德尔斯坦 Eric Edelstein 配音），宅男熊猫panda（鲍比·莫伊尼汉 Bobby Moynihan 配音），全能北极熊Ice Bear（迪米特利·马丁 Demetri Martin 配音）三个熊兄弟一同住在森林的一个山洞里，常常碰到出其不意的事情，它们既有人类朋友Chloe，也有大脚怪朋友查理。三个熊兄弟按照周围人类的行为准则，竭尽所能成为人类社会的一员。 本动画以每集一个10分钟独立小故事的形式，讲述了三只熊的日常故事。本作改编自Daniel Chong创作的网络漫画《The Three Bare Bears》。

三只熊各有各的性格和爱好，大哥灰熊Grizzly是个典型的喜欢安排兄弟们的熊，骨子里就是个老美大汉性格，虽然如此，大哥Grizzly还是有内心柔弱的一面。Burrito（熊卷饼之恋）这一集，前面被Grizzly对卷饼的痴汉性格蠢cry了，中间熊猫和白熊的努力，帮助兄弟解脱病态，让人感到各种兄弟情义，最后看到Grizzly为何如此依恋卷饼的原因后内心的酸楚，让人无法不爱这只单纯可爱的小熊。
老二熊猫Panda是个害羞的家伙，每天爱好刷Facebook，一旦掉粉就紧张的汗如雨下，而且Panda还非常的纯情，喜欢别的女孩超级害羞，特别呆萌。很多事情都不能自理，需要老三白熊的照顾。
北极熊Ice Bear是个冷冷酷酷的角色，他的喜怒永远不言语表面，即使生气的不行，他还是面无表情的说“白熊很生气”，白熊是个万能小达人，虽然年纪小，但是什么都会，修电器，做早餐，照顾panda，出门1拖2叠罗汉。白熊在身体素质方面也是杠杠的，而且很少有怨言。
三只可爱的小熊日常生活就是一场闹剧，因为他们的单纯，看事情的方向也简单蠢萌，所以观众们才会非常喜欢这三只可爱的裸熊。
